Hazard Perception Test The Facts

The hazard perception test has 14 video clips, lasting approximately 1 minute long. Every clip will show a situation involving other road users and the video is displayed as if you were the driver. Every clip will contain a hazard, causing you to either change your speed, your direction or even stop. 13 of the video clips will only have 1 hazard but 1 of them will have 2 hazards but you will not know which clip has the 2 hazards so keep your eyes open.

All you have to do to identify the hazard is click the mouse. You do not have to move the mouse to the hazard ..just click when you see the hazard. The earlier you can click the hazard the more you can score. Points from 0-5. Don't think you can fool the test by continually clicking the mouse as this will result in a zero score.

As you watch each clip you will se several potential hazards, remember that a hazard is what will make you change speed, direction or even stop. If you accidentally click on a potential hazard it will not affect your score. To pass the hazard perception test you must score at least 44 points out of 75 points.
